Child Development Program
Ages 3- 5 years Old
Head Start Mission Statement:
The mission of the Lincoln Head Start Child Development Program is to cultivate a transformative environment that enriches the lives of children, families, and staff. Through an unwavering commitment to quality education and holistic development, the program strives to empower children with foundational skills and knowledge, fostering resilience and confidence. By nurturing each family and educating staff in all areas of child development, the program inspires participants to thrive as responsible, compassionate, and engaged citizens who contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Application REQUIREMENTS
In addition to other information, we will need a copy of the child’s up to date shot record on the Louisianna state form and an up to date physical, along with proof of all income for a year.

Proof of Age
Items needed for proof of age:
We must determine the age of the child and any of the following documents can be used to satisfy this requirement.
Birth Certificate, Foster Contract, and Court Documents.

Proof of Income
Items needed for proof of income:
Paystub, W2, or proof of Public Assistance (SNAP/Families First or TANF).
If your family receives either Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, Food Stamps).

Health Requirements
If child has a diagnosed disability, provide the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP) for Early Head Start or the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for Head Start.
We also need an Immunization Certificate and up to date Well Child Exam.

Through her guidance, each of our four locations across Lincoln and Union Parish has become a thriving hub for children to explore, learn, and prepare for the world ahead.
